Precious Moments

My little boys can be pretty crazy and very loud sometimes. It seems like the peaceful moments are few and far between as they are getting older and more competitive. Here's a few precious
moments caught on camera of Will and Zach together.
The wall between our house and the neighbors is an excellent place for fishing. So with homemade poles and strings, the boys love to spend some time "fishing" together.
This never happens! I had to catch it on camera as the boys shared a little nap on the couch.

What? Who took these pictures?

This was hilarious! I had all these random pictures on my camera that I had no recollection of taking. I soon realized that a child had taken them because of the view, but also many pictures were either blurry or crazy. The pictures started in our family room, then went down the hall,up the stairs, into bedrooms and playroom. It was funny to see all the random pictures. so here's a sample:
hallway?

playroom cabinet?

a ceiling fan? who takes these pictures?

here's the kicker! Caught red-handed.... it was Will who took a picture of himself in the bathroom mirror! I had a good laugh and it continues to make me smile when I think of him doing this.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMI!!! 4-21-09

Cami wanted snickerdoodles as her b-day dessert this year! Yummy!

We had a pizza party at the house, then took everyone to see the Hannah Montana Movie and then back home for our very first sleep-over party! It was a lot of fun and a very late night.

New Easter Clothing for church
decorating eggs

Zach and Sophia at the church Easter Egg hunt

the thief! for the longest time i couldn't figure out why our bird seed was always dumped in the grass or why it disappeared so quickly. then one day i saw this! it was no longer a mystery and the kids were fascinated to watch the squirrel dangle upside down like that!

Will had to get some cavities filled! he was brave little boy as they gave him shots for he pain, but he also had the "laughing gas" and they had to put this blue "rain jacket" around his teeth so he wouldn't swallow anything. It was uncomfortable and strange, but he was great!

MARCH 2009: Spring Break to Houston

After grandma and grandpa left, we headed to Houston to spend the rest of the week with Uncle Mark and Aunt Kyra. We were also able to meet up with our great friends, the Olsens. Here's a few pictures of our trip to the Children's Discovery museum in Houston with the Olsens:

A Day at the Nasa Museum was a BLAST!

MARCH 2009: A visit from some special people!

OK! i'm playing catch-up again. March was fun in that it brought us a visit from Gr. and Gr. C! They came during a spring break visit and the kids were able to watch grandpa play some church ball with daddy and we also had a fun time going bowling. The weather was bad, so the kids' sports games were cancelled which was a dissapointment because it's not every weekend that grandma and grandpa can come and watch.

after the weekend storm, we had a beautiful day on monday and walked to the park and played. we had a great game of 4-square and also had fun swinging on the swings. Zach went down a slide that was wet with rain before we had the chance to stop him, thus the diaper dandy! here's a few pictures of our outing:

February Happenings 2009

This is a picture we sent our parents and grandparents for Valentines Day. Rather than coordinate everyone's clothing, we just made the hearts and it was fun. So, Happy late-valentine's to everyone! Below is a picture of Will at his preschool Valentine Party. For the party craft we painted wooden frames, then took pictures of the kids and had them printed before class was over so the kids could take them home for their parents. We took individual pictures of the kids (with our signs from home) and put those in the frames. FUN!

This was just funny! I was about to make sandwiches for lunch and turned around to get something and before I knew it, Zach was up on the counter with a spoon eating the fluff and peanut butter and obviously loving it! I had to laugh.

We decided to keep Will in gymnastics and it has turned out to be the best thing! He continues to excel and he goes without his blanket or stuffed animal and even without ME! He has gained a confidence he didn't have before and he listens to his instructor and then does what he should. Just last week (Mar. 24) the instructor asked if Will could be part of their advanced class! How exciting! He's come a long way and we're so proud of him.

Here's Cami singing at the Activity Day Girls Program. Doesn't she look so grown up? She'll be turning 10 soon, and Young Women's is just around the corner. Yikes!

Here's Emma with her friends at the Activity Day Girls program, too. This was one of her first meetings as she just joined after she turned 8. She loves going and spending time with her church friends.

Here's Spencer getting his Arrow of Light award in scouting. He actually earned it before his 11th birthday, but for various reasons, the ceremony couldn't be held any sooner. Congratulations, Spencer, you (and I) have really worked hard on this! I'm just glad to have a breather from scouting...don't get me wrong...I found myself really liking being a scout leader towards the end, and I'll be ready to go again when Will and Zach get to be that age.
